Renting a condo together is a major headache when you know that your fellow live-in mates are not as clean as you. I feel so ARGH!!! It's really, really depressing when they just use your things without your permission and in the end, damaging your personal belongings.
It is not that I would want to be negative-thinking or being articulate in calculating every single thing about the condo we shared since the first day. But you've gotta know the rules of living together! You should know when to clean the living room or the kitchen when it is dirty. You should know when to compromise with one another while sharing the utilities in the kitchen.
I wouldn't mind providing majority of the things in the kitchen but I do mind if you do not handle my belongings with care. I can be friendly and kind when I want to, but I can be nasty at the same time! Mind you, I am not a person to be bullied all the time. I don't mind cooking for you but you know who you are, can't you offer to wash the utensils and plates? I don't mind counting you in for dinner when I cook, but when it's your turn to cook, did you ever ask me to join you? How self-centered you guys can be.
My pot is rusty now. My microwaveable bowl has broken into halves. The floor at the living hall is full of hair and dust. Just because you did not bother to throw the rubbish at the kitchen's dustbin, now the kitchen is full of flying bugs! You did not even bother to wash the kitchen sink. You did not even to wash the dish bearer that I bought ever since I placed it there since April.
I don't mind you taking my food but at least let me know! I don't mind you using my SUNFLOWER oil but please kindly replace it with another bottle of SUNFLOWER oil and NO other brands like KNIFE or Neptune! I don't mind you taking my dried chilli, but PLEASE kindly ask me before you take it as you wish! I don't mind you taking my LOVE LETTERS biscuits, but please tell me. I don't mind you using my RM200+ stainless steel wok, but please handle it with care and use only the wooden spatula!! I don't mind you using my rice-cooker, please wash it as soon as possible and don't leave it in the sink for more than a day!
I am going to be paranoid to see my live-in mates behaving like that. Sigh... It's a disaster for me.
